Fashion stylist and designer,Ngugi Vere established a campaign which has benefited a number of young girls based in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
The Padgirls campaign was established after Mr Vere, had discovered that a number of young girls in both rural areas of the two countries Zimbabwe and South African are using newspapers and pieces of cloth during their menstrual cycle.
This has contributed to some young girls droping out of school or even not going to school for some weeks.
Yet the African Union and United Nations state clear that everyone including the girl child has a right to education.
The main aim of the Pad Girl campaign is to assist young girls from rural areas who need assistance in terms of sanitary wear.
"Pad Girls campaign started in 2016,when I learnt of the shocking statistics of girls missing school due to the lack of pads.
"It made me to help rural school girls ,hence from my pocket I did this month to month until I reached out on social media for help with donations,"said Ngugi.
Mr Vere has managed to assist at least 4 600 girls in both countries in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Currently his aiming to raise at least 1000 sanitary wear for a rural primary school in Zimbabwe,at Msengezi.
